Short-term business insurance in Broward County

Have a specific job, temporary business activity or client deadline? Explore available coverage for your work and dates, or ask us to review the requirement with you.

Continue to our agency-linked Thimble page. Available products and coverage periods depend on your activity, location and eligibility. Request agency help or call (800) 310-2743.

Match the policy to the work

Temporary work can still involve significant insurance requirements. Describe the actual activity, all work locations, dates and who will perform the work. A broad label such as “contractor” or “event vendor” may not give an insurer enough detail.

Thimble offers short-term liability options, but the quote process must confirm what is available for your specific business. This page does not promise that every event, trade or requested duration qualifies.

Have the requirement in front of you

  • Your activity: What you do, where you do it and whether others work with you.
  • Your dates: Include preparation and cleanup when relevant.
  • The contract: Requested limits and exact insurance wording.
  • Certificate details: The name and address of the organization requesting proof.
  • Other exposures: Vehicles, equipment, employees and professional services may need separate discussion.

A certificate is evidence of insurance; it does not itself add coverage or amend policy terms. Confirm that any requested additional-insured coverage is actually provided.

One project or an ongoing business?

If you work regularly, compare an ongoing policy with project-by-project coverage. Consider gaps between jobs and the treatment of claims arising after work is finished. Ask about policy timing and completed-operations coverage before choosing a short duration.

Explore our contractors page, general liability guide or business owners policy page for related questions.

Questions before you start

Does this insure an entire event?
Do not assume so. A vendor’s business liability policy and an event organizer’s insurance needs can differ. Describe your role and the venue’s requirements.

Will a quote satisfy my client’s requirement?
No. Review the issued coverage and any required endorsements and proof of insurance.

What if I cannot find my activity online?
Ask our agency for help. Do not select an inaccurate activity simply to continue the application.

Direct Insurance Network, LLC serves businesses throughout Broward County. Coverage is subject to eligibility, underwriting and policy terms. A request does not bind or change insurance.
